October 8, 2008

We put a second layer of paint on our balloons.

When we had done that we did some work on our folk tales. For that we wrote a story or a mini folk tale about trees. (Our folk tale at the moment is a book about trees) then did a picture for our story.

When we had finished off that bit of work we put another layer of paint on our balloons and we made a  pattern on them with different colours. Then we hung them up and made baskets for them. We left it all to dry and now they are still drying at 3.00pm on the 8/10/08.

The Swimming week

October 8, 2008

Last week all the school children and Izzy went for a school trip in Mallaig. The week was aimed at doing activities to make you fit, we did all sorts of fantastic things.

We left early Tuesday afternoon on the Loch Nevis and by the time we got to Mallaig we were all in need of a rest so we all relaxed at our accommodation ( the Back Packers Bunkhouse) and had supper. At 6.00pm the younger ones went to the Libary and at 7.00pm we went to the library and discussed the lay out of a book. I loved going to the library and I learnt a lot.

Over the course of the next two days we enjoyed a whole range of activities from art to swimming plus gymnastics and chemistry. Then to finish the week off the S1s and 2s ( including Jamie ) organised a disco.

This week was tiring though fun as well. And we all learnt a lot. I really enjoyed the swimming week though I wish we could have managed to fit more swimming lessons in.
