We are back!

Sorry we haven’t been giving you any information recently. But now we are so here’s what we have been doing  since we last gave you information; we have finished the weather project. We also started  the Victorians. First we had to make a family tree from now to the Victorian times and we all managed to do it. Some of us found people in our families who were born around 1750 WOW! Ancient.

After we had recovered from that shock we did and are still doing things about artwork and home decor.It is really interesting and we are learning a lot. One of the artists we have been focusing on is William Morris; he was an amazing artist. We have seen a lot of his designs, they were curtains,wallpaper,tiles etc. But we have not only been doing Victorian work we have also been doing  maths and language.

This is my William Morris style artwork. I did it with crayons. I think it would be a good design for a fireplace tile.

Here we are

Sorry we have not been blogging recently our broadband has been terrible.  We have begun a project on Victorians and how they lived.  Another thing we are doing is a school play, which is snippits of the Roald Dahl book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I am an Oompa Lompa also in the nativety I am an angel.  We have also done paper mache picture frames then we did victorian style pictures and made a sepia wash and covered them with it.  I am looking foward to the end of term.  Happy Christmas.

Back again at last

We are very sorry we have not been able to put more on the blog lately because the broad band  has been down because we  have just got a new internet access.

 Right no more about that lets get down to buisnes.This term our project is Victorians we have done a lot about them including drawing portraits and frames for them.They were very elaborate and detailed and every one worked hard on them.

Another thing we have done is make some William Morris wallpaper they had lots of  flowers  and swirls on them.

Our school play is about willy wonka and a bit about a Nativity.Every body has a words in either  the wonka or the nativity   bit and  we are all looking forward to it lots .

For p.e this term we are doing dances from around the world  and at the moment we are focusing on Scotish dancing.

This Term

Today we rehersed our Christmas play ,The Willy Wonka  Roadshow. It is all about Willy Wonka and Charlie Buckets opinion on being  nice. The cast are Isobel as Willy Wonka, James as Charlie Bucket and all the others are Oompa Lompas. Hopefully everything will go to plan and everyone remembers their lines. 

This term for our project we have been looking at the Victorians and their way of life. Over the past couple of weeks we have been looking at the Victorians home life and their decor. This included drawing William Morris style wallpaper. I thought it was very interesting that most of the Victorians wallpaper was based on William Morris’s artwork. Our finished pecies were very swirly and elaborate.

For P.E we are looking at dances from around the world. At the moment we are doing Scottish dancing (we are practising for the Christmas party!)
